Founded on the belief that a united pilots community strengthens aviation safety, professionalism, and career opportunity, UPPA serves as the collective voice for Uganda’s aviation professionals.

Our Story
The Uganda Professional Pilots Association (UPPA) was established in 2026 to fill a critical gap in Uganda’s aviation landscape. Extensive research confirmed that no professional pilots association existed in the country—despite a growing aviation industry and a vibrant community of licensed pilots.
A small group of passionate pilots and aviation professionals recognized this as an opportunity to create something meaningful. They saw how pilot associations in Kenya, South Africa, and Nigeria had transformed their local aviation communities and knew Uganda deserved the same benefits.
From initial planning and legal registration to launching our first membership drive, UPPA has grown from an idea into a functioning professional association. Today, we welcome all pilots—commercial, private, instructional, and retired—to join us in building Uganda’s aviation future.
